Have you seen that new movie, Bad Moms?
Sure, it was a bit raunchy for my taste, but it just made you say, "that's me."
Here is the thing about being a mom. You are supposed to have your kids perfectly scheduled, eating 100% organic foods, breast-fed until they are at least 16, and having absolutely no screen time ever.
The standards are impossibly high and everybody knows it.
Sometimes I want to eat by myself and not share my food.
Sometimes I watch shows that I want to watch but a toddler probably shouldn't be watching.
Sometimes I use Mickey Mouse Clubhouse to entertain Thea so I can drink a cup of coffee in the mornings.
Sometimes I give her chicken nuggets for dinner because it was a rough day at work and the fridge is empty anyways because toddlers and grocery stores don't mix.
I don't have Thea on any sort of schedule besides a bedtime of 8-ish.
I use disposable diapers and I don't feel like I should have to defend that decision to anyone.
I did not enjoy breastfeeding and I don't feel like I should have to defend that either.
Deal with it.
